The scope of work in this RFP is outcome oriented. The Proponent is required to achieve the below listed outcomes:
Windsor Essex Community Housing Corporation (CHC) is seeking Proponents to submit a single proposal for Barrier Free Conversion Architectural Consulting Services in multi-residential buildings at various locations. The Architectural consulting service would include accessibility upgrades in the office vestibule and converting existing units into fully accessible units. The most important features would be to provide clear widths of doors, accessible service counter, accessible kitchen and bathroom, clear path of travel and turn around circle at key areas throughout the locations. All designs to meet the requirements of the latest Ontario Building Code (OBC), Ontario Fire Code (OFC) and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). CHC provides equal treatment to people who require accessibility accommodation. Proponents must comply with all applicable accessibility standards required by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and its regulations while carrying out the scope of work under this RFP.
The selected proponent will be responsible for conducting investigations and assessments, reviewing existing designs, providing recommendations and detailed proposed designs, reviewing and updating the existing specification book, supporting tendering and negotiation, and providing construction administration during project execution planned to be completed in 2025.
